[Bat Outta Hell!]

I must be missing something

There are a few things i just dont get about this game. What's with the timer slowly ticking down, that makes me die even when i have plenty of blood? I'd like to try again and find out, but your game wont let me start over unless i reopen it over and over, every time i die.

Maybe you're trying to get more newgrounds views than you deserve, by making us restart the game to play again. Or maybe it's for more clicks onto your webpages as we're trying to figure out how to get back to the game. Either way, when i dont even know why i died, it's pretty fucking lame to not be able to try again without closing the game.

Also, the game feels pretty slow, very unlike a bat out of hell.

This feels more like a real minimum wage job than like a game. It's just mindless menial tasks, more suited for teaching a small child how to count. All that's missing is wearing the stupid clothes, and getting paid to "play" it.
And the character graphics are horrible. Good presentation with the menu, though.

What are the answers?

I wish you would have told us the real answer when we get it wrong instead of just saying we're wrong. I wanted to know the answers to a lot of them that i got wrong. Good idea for a quiz though. Brings back a lot of nostalgic feelings.

Impossible game

I cant get past the first 5 levels. had to skip 1-3 and couldn't beat 1-5 either. This game is just way too hard. Disappointing, because it's fun. ... i like 1-1. you can just bounce around and have fun, and it's ok if you dont go where you wanted, cause you tend to just bounce right back so everything is ok. But in the other levels i just die over and over and have to continue many times.

Oh, and it sucks when i get to the top of the screen or wherever, and then i cant see where i want to go until i waste a life going in that direction.

It was too hard the first time when it was called "catch the freaks", and it's still too hard now. People told you it was too hard, but you didn't listen. You made a harder difficulty, but why not an easier one? It's also kind of boring. Needs more to it.

One button to win.

Decent game, but the controls dont work very well for it. All you have to do to win is hold down an attack button, or just attack as much as possible. But with blocking and dodging, you have to get the timing just right. That's very hard to do when it's running at the right speed (easier when i have it on high quality, with this slow computer). It's a lot easier to avoid getting hit by hitting the enemy than it is dodging. I wonder if part of it is having to wait too long for one action to finish to start another. Maybe there needs to be more time to see a hit coming, and then make that hit do more damage, like in punch out for nintendo. I'm sure there are many ways to fix the problems once you know what they are.

Still too tough.

I know you said not to say it, but it's true. I'm sure there must be a trick to winning easier if you're saying it's too easy, but without knowing that trick it's too tough. For one thing, the enemies stop out of reach of your attacks, and then have longer range attacks, so that makes for a completely different strategy than in the real kung fu. Anyway... i couldn't even get past the first level. The boss keeps killing me in a couple hits. That's no fun. Doesn't even seem to have an easy way to avoid getting hit.

This game sucks and everyone's gone insane

I dont know what the hell everyone else is thinking. This game is mediocre at best. Very simplistic and it's too slow. Can only walk in one direction, which makes for very boring gameplay. The premise of the game is completely stupid and i hate the style.

Also... controls are not "help", and it's a little bit condescending to the player to act like telling them the controls are a favor. And what the hell were you thinking when you didn't mention how to use the gun? I had to push all the buttons on the keyboard before thinking to try the mouse. Cause why the hell would you make it the mouse when the game is so damn linear?

Maybe i'm being a little too harsh on this, but it really isn't worth the score it has, or the good reviews it's getting.

[Stande: Battle Mode]

Pretty fun game.

I was just watching time trial 11 b and then i saw in the list of your other submissions this stande: battle mode... I remember stande from the newgrounds battlegrounds, cause he's one of the best characters in it. So i thought "he made a game with that character?" Didn't notice until after i played it a little that it was still under judgement.
Anyway, i love the character, and all the graphics in this. I guess my only problem is it seems to be a survival mode type of game, and there doesn't really seem to be enough you can do to avoid getting hurt. Also doesn't seem fast enough, but i know my computer isn't good enough, and is slowing it down at least a little bit.
Oh, and i'm not supposed to be able to go through that gate, am i? ... that wasn't completely clear to me. i was trying to get through it for a while.

Nope... it's a small playing field (in refernce to the gate comment). If it's going terribly slowly, you can turn off the background and set the quality on low, that should help a lot.
